Tim's Yarn Art Car makes into "Street View" Google Maps Club

My friend Tim and his Yarn Art Car recently made into the "Street View" Google Maps Club along with some other art cars who also are part of this elite club. The only requirements is that you have an art car that has been captured on Google Street View.

Oliver von Feistmantl on Art Cars
Le Baron Convetible Art Car

Racebus Art Car

Oliver von Feistmantl is a comic PoP artist from Vienna Austria that paints on pretty much everything, like houses, ships, snowboards, skateboards and even cars.
He started out as a graffiti artist in the 90´s but got arrested, so he decided to concentrate on legal ways to exhibit throughout Europe, Asia, the Caribbeans and NYC.
He makes acrylic paintings and sculptures in all sizes and in 2008 started to paint on a fishing boat in Thailand and in 2009 started to paint on cars.
The 1974 VW-Bus is called the racebus, because he got an engine from a Porsche 911 and was finished in October 2009. The 93 Chrysler Le Baron convertible was finished in 2010 and is the one he currently drives.
He hopes one day to come across a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow because its his personal dream to one day paint that car as well.

Scraptastic Art Cars Made in Junkyard - Very Cool Video
Here is a great video of a post I did some time ago about Mel and his Atomic Ride who turns scrap cars into what I call >Scaptastic" Works of Art. A video just came out that is a must see, produced by Channel 3 in Arizona, link.

Trash Mobile - Near Miss with Art

There are many artist who manage to glue trash on their cars and succeed in reaching "art car" nirvana. This car on the other hand, basically had a near miss with "art" and failed in every possible way to reach any kind of nirvana known and unknown. But as far as reaching "totally trashy trash" nirvana this car has arrived.

Eric Lamb's - Land Yacht For Sale

I just got an email from Donna Lamb, informing me that her brother Eric passed away in early July from a massive stroke. He was the owner and creator of the Land Yacht Art Car. This car is for sale to anyone interested in owning and showing this wonderful Art Car. Eric we will miss your creativity and passion for Art Cars.
Below are some details about the current condition of this very unique
art car that has been neglected for a few years. With a little rust
patching, new body paint and finish on woodwork, it could pretty easily
be returned to its original glory. All accessories – such as flags,
anchor and masts – seen in its photos are still in the car.
Engine Condition:
Fires and runs well
Transmission engages
Engine Needs:
Tune up
Timing set/adjustment
Perhaps new alternator
Some of the wiring was hand made by owner
(I plan to buy a new battery and put on two new/used tires)
Body Condition:
No dents/damage
Rust holes on driver's door
Paint: hand/brush painted
Woodwork is solid but could use new finish
Windshield cracked and needs to be replaced
Wooden "forward deck" needs to be reattached
Interior is average for a car this age (1976)
If you’re interested, please email Donna Lamb or call her at (212) 645-2468 to make an offer. If you know someone else who might want to buy the car, she also would be grateful if you would pass this information on to them.
