The Strange Story of the Vanny Van Art Car

The Strange Story of the Vanny Van Art Car

The internet is a strange place and sometimes interesting people email me with interesting art car submissions. The Vanny Van is one of those art cars that was submitted to me covered in hand written notes and stickers put on by all kinds of people along the way.

The Story of Vanny Van
Year one
I was born in some kind of car baby making factory called Dodge. It was 1999 and I was a BIG baby. They named me Ram, which was good because at my first Dealership School I was scared. The ride there was great! We didn’t even have to walk at all. A big, long, huge truck carried me and a few others to our new school. We were all excited. I got to ride on the top which was AWESOME!! So many different cars and people would drive past us. I smiled and waved at all of them.
When we got there I met so many kinds of cars, new and old. The old ones would teach us about patience and how you can tell what families are good families and the bad ones that won’t take good care of you. The Rusty Ones, as we kids called them, would tell us of their great adventures around the United States. How some have had many different families and how they have waited a long time at Dealership School to have new ones. They passed their time with their teachings. As the days would go by, me and my friends would meet new and learn about all kinds of people. Many of my friends would get new families and be off in their new lives. My first year I waited.

Art Cars Caught On Google Street View

There are many art cars but only few are chosen to be featured on Google Street View by the all seeing eye. Its pretty amazing and and the same time a bit creepy, especially because I live off the beaten path in the country. Anyways these art cars have achieved yet again another level of fame and this time on the world famous Google Street View. I am excited because my Mercedes Pens Art Car covered in 10,000 was selected along with my mail box and the other lucky art car winners chosen at random. Also featured on Google Street View is the Sticker Car, the Post-it Car, Our Lady of Eternal Combustion, Jesus Chrysler and the The Danger Car.

Ron Paul Art Car - What to do with a car covered in bumber stickers?

This car sent in by Jake Stichler

This is a 92 F150, currently residing in Lebanon, PA with nearly a
quarter million miles that I picked up from my mechanic for $1200 a
couple of years ago - not as a project vehicle of any sort, but
because it was all I could afford at the time. Unfortunately, this
also wasn't an original idea of mine - I saw a car that was done up
just the same on The Daily Paul - the foremost blog in Ron Paul info
during the campaign. That particular individual made it on their local
news, I know many other people decorated their vehicles with Ron Paul
slogans as well, but I figure there's probably only 2 or 3 others that
did the complete sticker job.

Unfortunately, this truck has also been out of commission since July
due to expired registration and inspection, so I really couldn't tell
you what kind of reactions there have been lately, as there've been
none. Hopefully your readers can help answer the question as to what
to do with it now (finish it, redo it, etc).

MAKE A STATEMENT with a Sticker Art Car

There is nothing like a car covered in bumper stickers to say what's on you mind over and over again in bold all caps.

Bumper Sticker Art Car

The Iowa caucus marked the beginning of the 2008 Presidential bumper sticker season, so I decided to feature a few Bumper Sticker Art Cars. Its the season to give others a piece of your mind and let them know how you "feeeel" about the issues of the day. There is nothing that says "I have a strong opinion" than covering your car in stickers. Also thanks to those of you who took the time to take the pictures. Let the games begin and may the best candidate win.

Also be sure to check out Bumper Sticker Madness for more stickers based on current news headlines from around the world

Bummer! Is this car still running around?
